Why do people do this?

I cut my forearm with a utility knife, while breaking down some boxes to trash. A co-worker saw me holding my arm up and came to me asking me what had happened. He then went to get our team leader and supervisor, Which we are suppose to do. My co-worker looked at the cut and told me that I will need stitches, I did not think so.
After my supervisor and the safety engineer came to look at my cut. They told me to go to the clinic. Outside the first aid room another (female worker) asked who was in there. They told her it was me that I cut my arm, She started to laugh hysterically. Right there told me the whole building would know when I return back from the clinic.
Why do people have to tell every one about my injury?

Because they are IDIOTS !
